To design effective and actionable surveys that yield results, ensure you have a credible response rate. It’s crucial to define the minimum number of responses required for your survey to have statistical relevance. This ensures that your findings are meaningful and can be confidently used for decision-making. For statistically valid research, the best practice is to not go below a 90% confidence level with a 5% margin of error.

Sample Size
This is a measure of how sure you can be that the results of your survey reflect the views of the entire population you're studying. If your survey has a ninety-five percent confidence rate, it means that if you were to conduct the survey one hundred times, you'd expect to get similar results at least ninety five times out of one hundred.
This is the range within which the true answer is likely to fall based on your survey results. For example, if you conduct a survey and eighty percent of respondents like a product, with a margin of error of five percent, the true percentage of people who like the product could be as low as seventy-five percent or as high as eighty-five percent. The margin of error acknowledges that there is a small chance that the survey results could be off by a certain amount.
